Red Finch in Salt Lake!

We are opening a new store in Salt Lake City at 139 West 2260 South in February. Over the last two years, we have gained a lot of clients from Salt Lake County and we are excited to be able to service them better. The new facility is 7,000 square feet with over 20 parking places, two garage doors, and a large gated parking lot. I’ve posted some pictures on our Facebook page. We still have painting etc. to do, but I’m excited about the possibilities. We will have room for a 3,000 square foot studio with garage access, as well as a...

Comcast + Disney = 40%

Comcast + Disney = 40%In our ever changing world of film the Comcast and Disney take over of 21stCentury Fox means the two company’s will account for 40% of all money spent on content creation in the USA and 20% of the global content creation. That need leather gloves to be touched. That need to cool down before they can be moved or turned on again. That take incredible amounts of power. That use crazy big/loud/expensive generators. The end of lights that trip...

We’ve also added a Workhorse Step Van (Think UPS truck) with shelves. Now you can haul all that gear you rent more easily.  We've added some native Sony lenses and the Canon 85mm f/1.2 and Canon 100-400mm lens. Both incredibly versatile lenses. The Movi Pro we have adds a powerful gimbal to our line up. We also added a bunch of IDX Endura Duo 191wh batteries....

The Future of Cinematography is Robotic

Posted by Mark Hedengren on

I believe that the future of cinematography is robotic. Sensors have advanced a lot in the past 10 years, but the new ones seem to be more a matter of taste not revolutionary like the ones before. But, what you do see is a lot of big advances in camera movements. We’ve added so much gear I’m going to talk about it in categories   Motorized Sliders, Giga Pan, and MoVI Pro We've added two motorized sliders, the Rhino and the eMotimo Spectrum for the Dana Dolly, which brings our total up to three. The eMotimo can do pan/tilt! The Giga Pan is...
