How to get a lot of work with Content Video Marketing

Purple, a company based in Alpine, Utah, went public last week at a valuation of $1.1 billion.  You may have seen their Facebook ads that feature the actress from Studio C.  I think because of this success of video marketing and the success ChatBooks it would be worth talking about how to sell a client on video content marketing.
The biggest problem we have in Utah with video content marketing is that many of the companies are Business to Business companies (think Domo, Qualtrics, Entrada etc.) and have had a lot of success with in-person-sales, phone-banks and door-to-door sales (think Vivint) To compound this problem much of the leadership of the company probably has risen through the ranks because of success in-person-sales/phone-bank/door-to-door sales through their career.
As a result, you get a bunch of leaders who would never think of taking a sales commission down from 20% to 15% but think spending over $5,000 on a video is a waste of money.
I love many things about filmmaking in Utah and living in Utah but this is a definite problem for the businesses here and for our industry.  So, the question is how to sell video content marketing to businesses. Below I've listed a series of points that you can use to better pitch content marketing to Utah companies.

• Content marketing costs 62% less than traditional marketing and generates about 3 times as many leads. (Forbes Oct. 11 2016)

  • Video is projected to claim more than 80% of all web traffic by 2019.
  • Adding a video to marketing emails can boost click-through rates by 200-300%.
  • Embedding videos in landing pages can increase conversion rates by 80%.
  • 90% of customers report that product videos help them make purchasing decisions.
  • According to YouTube, mobile video consumption grows by 100% every year.
  • 64% of customers are more likely to buy a product online after watching a video about it.
  • 87% of online marketers are currently using video content in their digital marketing strategies.

So, now that we’ve established that video content marketing is important, here is a short article on how to do a simple content marketing campaign in Entrepreneur Magazine.

I’m sorry to be all business with you guys but I’ve noticed that companies have the budget to make videos and the better your business does, the better Red Finch Rental does, so try pitching your clients on video content marketing and get some good work out of it.

Best of luck!
